Can I claim unemployment benefits because of being transferred/demoted?
Can I claim unemployment benefits if I have to quit my job for being transferred/demoted?
There is a very good chance that a previous salesperson who lost his job at another company will be put into my position. He is a "rock star" salesmen. I am a very high caliber salesmen myself but this guy has been in the industry for 30 years.
Anyway. It appears that the owner has approached this person and he will have pick on what store he works at. If he picks my store (which he will because it is where the majority of business is conducted in the state) I will more than likely be asked to transfer to a store that is in a different city. The commute is about 55 miles a day. Add on the monstrous construction project on the major interstate for the next 2 years making my drive time about an hour each way. That is not necessarily a deal breaker but I certainly will despise the commute. I know my car will not handle this either as I have been putting many repairs into it. I have no way of moving out because I will pay much more in that city than I am now. Not to mention that if I move out, my brother will not be able to pay me back the 4k that he owes me since he will have to put that money into paying it himself.
The biggest kicker here, is that the market I would be selling in is completely dead. There have been no attempts to improve it and I would basically be in the "arm pit" of the industry in our state (which is Utah by the way).
Are these valid reasons for unemployment to allow me benefits? If I were to attempt this move would unemployment allow me to claim after I gave it a shot and it didn’t work? Any answers will be much appreicated
Ramadan: Some good news- What do you think?
As many as 660 Chinese nationals working on the ‘Haramain Train Construction Project’ have embraced Islam during a ceremony held in the holy city of Makkah, a private TV channel reported on Thursday. According to the channel, Saudi official Abdul Aziz Al-Khudhairi, working at the governor house in Makkah, has confirmed that 660 Chinese workers have embraced Islam.

Why would insurance companies include “acts of God” in their policies if there wasn’t a God?
Aren’t they themselves acknowledging the existance of God when they pay or not pay for damages caused by catastrophic events?
"An act of God is a natural catastrophe which no one can prevent such as an earthquake, a tidal wave, a volcanic eruption, a hurricane or a tornado. An act of God is generally considered an act attributable to nature without human interference. For example, damage from a tornado or a lightning strike would be considered an act of God. Damage would not be considered an act of God if it is caused by the property owner.
Acts of God have legal significance because "acts of God" are a legal excuse for delay or failure to fulfill an obligation or to complete a construction project. Many insurance policies don’t cover damage caused by acts of God. At times disputes arise as to whether a violent storm or other disaster was an act of God (and therefore exempt from a claim) or a foreseeable natural event."

Q. for Jews: how much would it cost to rebuild the temple?
I have been told by many Jews that one of the messianic expectations if that the temple will be rebuilt. How much would that cost? What would the political implications be, of taking over pieces of land that have since been occupied by other buildings, other owners, even other nations and religions?
Is there any capital plan in place in Israel to accomplish this construction project?
What are my rights against trespassing as an Oregon landowner?
We are in the process of purchasing 4.2 acres in Western Oregon where there is a substantial Native American population (a historically peaceful tribe). Those I have met from the tribe have been friendly (though they have shot at some of my more distant neighbors), but that’s not really the issue. There is one particular gentleman who is the tribe’s cultural rep who has taken it upon himself to go onto other people’s property, stop construction at the owner’s expense, and -k later when the state archaeologist okays the site, they resume construction. This has been his pattern throughout this area.
Honestly, I consider it stealing since no significant artifacts have been found or are expected to be found. (The seller completed archaeological studies and even involved this gentleman in the process, but he has again trespassed, stopped construction by getting in the way, and the delays added up to ,800 the owner had to pay the excavation crew while the trespasser poked around in the dirt day after day and found nothing – and that was only for the septic system before the house foundation.)
One other landowner walked out with a rifle to greet him and told him to get off his land. I hear that was effective, but it’s not really the wild west out here. I am living 1/4 mile from this guy and don’t want to start out living here like it’s a war zone, but I am NOT going to put up with his meddling at my expense. The archaeologists said they would be surprised if anything were found.
I have written him a polite letter (I’ll mail shortly before beginning construction) letting him know of our construction project and to coordinate with me if he feels compelled to enter my property (I point to liability issues during construction). I don’t know if that will be enough. I have firearms, but want some other ideas – and I want my privacy (that’s the whole point of buying 4 rural acres). What are my rights as a landowner in Oregon? Any ideas of how to address this civilly? And, what are my options and rights if he ignores my "No Trespassing" signs and letter?
Marketing Strategies for a Construction Company?
I own a family-run construction company in NYC. I am 2nd generation & an Architect. We manage – mil in yearly revenue. We have a very corporate feel, with personal dedication that you get from a mom & pop shop
We just completed a .5 mil, 18,000 SF, LEED, Green Construction project that met all Sustainable Design issues
This is the next real trend in construction & life in general. I need to make sure that I grab this experience & market my company properly & efficiently. This is the downside of having a family run company. We do not have experience in marketing. We do not solicit our construction projects. We are on preferred bidders lists for state funded projects and we are considered the “big fish” in a little pond for projects between – mil
So what I need to know is how to market ourselves as Green Contractors. As far as my architectural side, I am applying for LEED Professional Accreditation. As far as graphic design, I have already retained a company
Chicago Elevator Operator (Local 150?) requirements for large highrise renovation project?
I am currently working on a Construction Project in Chicago, IL that is an Million renovation to an existing 30 story building. The Owner does not wish to pay for an Elevator Operator to run the existing elevators for tradespeople as the building tenants are not relocating and the work is spread throughout the building. We think the an OE may be required as the overall building size is of a large SF.
When is an Operating Engineer required on a highrise renovation? Is there a specific written requirement that the Local 150 has to define these requirements?
what is significant Certificate in construction project management and How it may influence one's career ??
I heard about certificates that helps engineers in construction management industry to enhance there careers Such as ( PMP , PRMP , Prince , CPM … Etc.)and all of them are approved from a reputable organizations like PMI , ASCE , IMI … So whats the most needed Certificate according to market trend.

Can you get unemployment benefits if you left your job for another and new company shut down?
I was offered a job for a construction company and left my job of 2 years because I was offered double the pay. The construction project was postponed and eventually cancelled. The construction company is in business but owner has no work. Would I be able to get unemployment benefits? I have a phone interview next week. Please, only serious answers.
